A designer who creates letters and graphics. He majored in visual design at Dankook University and Hongik University graduate school. Since 2019, he has been operating the design studio ‘Asymmetry and Square’ and has been active in the field of letter design, including exhibitions, research, logos, and font production. He designed fonts such as Sanuwha, Twoface, Tasan, and Sanjak. It produces about 3MB of character data per year.
Student studying design based in Seoul. Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Visual Communication Design at Hongik University. She has been active in the type-focused student group Hangulggol, working on graphic design projects rooted in typography. Continuing her typographic explorations, she introduced the non-square Hangul font 「Byeolmoa」 in 2025, inspired by folded paper stars. Her interests lie in translating the symbols that emerge at the intersection of visual arts, music, and records into design language.

Graduated from Central Academy of Fine Art in China and Paju Typography Institute. Worked as a book designer at Yeolhwadang. In addition to typography and book design, was in charge of designing exhibition contents. Currently a freelance designer.
Yoosung Jin is an independent designer who is making calligraphy-based fonts. While working at Sandoll in the past, I designed the font Sandoll Chilsung Shipyard. Since the launch of the calligraphy font “Spring Snow” in December. I am planning to make calligraphy fonts with various expressions from now on.
Jooah Yi is a graphic designer whose practice is rooted in typography. She builds structures using text, image, and physical materials and is interested in the leaps and
transformations that occur within them. She also reads and writes poetry and prose.
I am a creator working at the intersection of branding and graphic design. Through writing and graphic language, I document visual elements from everyday life while exploring the sculptural pleasures of form. My interest in typographic form began with my participation in the design work for South Korea’s 19th presidential election in 2017. Since then, I have developed the typefaces ⟪Gwangin⟫(2019), ⟪Carve⟫(2023), an exclusive typeface for the National Hangeul Museum, and ⟪Carp(Bungeo)⟫(2024). I am also the author of the essay collection ⟪Octopus-Life, It’s Painful⟫(2025), which candidly weaves together creative trial and error and the quiet struggles of daily life.
Minjoo Ham is a type designer from South Korea. With Mark Frömberg Minjoo Ham founded Hypertype in 2020 in Berlin. She completed the TypeMedia master course at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague, Netherlands, concentrating on research and type design of a Latin and Hangul double-script. With her interest in the relation between Latin Characters and Hangeul, Ham has been running multi-lingual projects with multinational companies. She has released fonts such as Dunkel Sans, Blazeface Hangeul, Neutronic Hangeul and Hahmlet.
Graduated from Hongik University, majoring in Visual Communication Design and Art Studies. Active member of the Hangulggol(a student-led typography club within the Visual Communication Design Major at Hongik University) for four years, and awarded the Areum Award at the 2021 Hangeul Typeface Design Competition. Noheul Lee graduated from the Type and Media program at the KABK, The Hague. Currently working as a multi-script type designer, she is a partner of lo-ol type studio. She won the 6th Bang Il Young Cultural Foundation Fund Competition for Hangul typeface and received a gold prize from Morisawa type competition 2019. Nutype is a type design studio and independent publisher founded by three female designers: Seulki Kim, Jinhee Kim, and Suhyun Lee. Using digital fonts as their primary visual language, the studio expands its practice across diverse media, viewing typography not merely as a functional tool but as a significant artistic and cultural medium. Their work moves fluidly between the digital and physical realms—spanning exhibitions, collaborations, and merchandise—while their publications document the processes and contexts of type design.
Park Mingyu studied biosciences in university. However, after finding his love for design, he transferred to School of Visual Arts and majored in graphic design. Afterwards, Park Mingyu went to Paju typography Institute to complete the official program for Deobaegot, and after leaving AG Typography Institute, he is currently working as an independent type designer. rojotype is a type foundry based in Seoul, KR. We do different graphic works with designing typefaces. Moreover, we make, publish, participate to diverse projects.  From 100 Beste Plakate to the present, we have planned and operated the exhibitions in Seoul, Korea. We are introducing new typefaces every year that can use the exhibition. BP type, Viso, BelloSans and Tento were designed and used for exhibition graphics.

Baldinger studied typography in Zurich with Hans Rudolf Bosshard and type design at the Atelier National de Recherche Typographique (ANRT) in Paris. In 1995, he founded his own studio, focusing on book design, type design, visual identities, and posters. In 2005, he participated in the Swiss National Bank competition for new banknotes. In 2008, he co-founded the design office baldinger·vu-huu, followed by the type foundry b·v-h type in 2022. André has received grants from the French Ministry of Culture, the Swiss Confederation (Federal Design Prize), and the Centre national des arts plastiques (Cnap), as well as a residency at Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto. His work is regularly awarded and included in collections such as the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the Design Museum Zurich, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and the Toyama Museum of Modern Art. He is co-founder and co-director of the EnsadLab Type research lab at EnsAD and teaches typography and type design at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
Edward Dżułaj, a type designer born into a Polish-Ukrainian family, currently lives in The Hague, Netherlands. Having completed his Graphic Design (BA) and Type and Media (MA) studies at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK), he worked on various type foundries projects. In this capacity, he had the opportunity to contribute to developing operating system fonts for clients such as Microsoft. In 2023, he founded July Type Foundry. Since 2022, he has been a faculty member at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK), teaching graphic and type design.

Jumping He was born in Fuyang, China, and now lives in Berlin, working as a graphic designer, writer, and publisher. He studied graphic design at the China Academy of Art (1991–1994) and at the Berlin University of Arts (1997–2001), receiving a PhD in cultural history from the Freie Universität Berlin in 2011. He has taught at the Berlin University of the Arts, the China Academy of Arts, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His work has received numerous awards, including Gold at the International Poster Biennial in Warsaw, the German Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award, the Poster Triennial Trnava; the ADC New York 100th Annual Award; the Gold prize at the Joseph Binder Award in Austria; and the Yellow Pencil of the D&AD in the UK. In 2006, he won the Poster Kunst Hof in Rüttenscheid Prize. He has had solo exhibitions in China, Germany, Japan, Slovenia, Poland, Iran, and Malaysia. His book “daydream” was published in 2021, with a solo exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in Shenzhen, China.
He is currently a professor in the Department of Visual Communication Design at Seoul Women’s University and director of the Type Reading Room. He holds a Master’s degree in Typeface Design from the University of Reading in the UK, a Master’s degree in Typography from the University of Barcelona in Spain, and a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Design from Seoul National University. Since the late 2000s, he has been exposed to diverse typographic cultures while moving between Spain, the UK, the US, China, and Korea, which has served as the foundation for his research and work. Notably, for six years starting in 2013, he worked as a designer on the font and design teams at Apple’s headquarters in the US, where he was directly or indirectly involved in the design of almost all Latin alphabets, numerals, symbols, and icons used across Apple’s three operating systems: iOS, macOS, and watchOS. Since relocating to Hongik University in Seoul in 2019, he has been combining education with collaborative industry projects, working with companies such as Hyundai and Kakao to design custom fonts for UI or providing consulting on typography in UX environments.
Graphic designer with an interest in forms and shapes derived from East Asian traditions and culture. He/she observes and explores designs that existed before the term design was coined, seeking ways to incorporate them into his/her work. Graduated with a degree in Visual Design from Hongik University and worked at Ahn Graphics. Currently runs a commercial studio called General Graphics.
Neville Brody runs his design agency, Brody Associates, from his London studio, working worldwide with clients such as Coca-Cola, BBC, Sony Music, Channel 4, Christian Dior, Supreme, Mayo Clinic, The Times, Samsung, and Shiseido. Previously president of D&AD, he is Professor of Communication at the Royal College of Art and a Royal Designer for Industry. Brody leads his practice with experimentation, exploration, and discovery through influential projects such as FUSE and the ADF. He has always been focused on education and how it can change to better support creative development and opportunity.

Since 1991, she has been a principal in the New York office of the distinguished international design consultancy Pentagram, where she develops brand identities, signage, packaging and publications for a wide range of clients. With fearless simplicity, her work makes unknown brands iconic, and iconic brands epic. Her identity systems for organizations such as the Public Theater, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Shake Shack, Citibank, Microsoft, Tiffany & Co., and the High Line have become landmarks of modern branding. Scher has been the recipient of hundreds of industry honors including the National Design Award, the D&AD Special President’s Award and the AIGA Medal. Her designs are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, the Library of Congress, the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), and other institutions. A documentary on Scher and her work can be seen in the Netflix series “Abstract: The Art of Design.”
Piero Di Biase is a graphic and type designer. He trained in the graphic arts sector and then became a graphic designer. After collaborating with various design agencies, in 2011 he co-founded Think Work Observe, where he worked for national and international clients until 2022, when he launched Formula Type, an independent digital foundry that produces and distributes retail and custom fonts. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI).
Yah-Leng is the Founding Partner and Creative Director of Foreign Policy Design Group, a creative bureau based out of the tropical island of Singapore. She is a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) and the first woman representative from Singapore. She also co-created the official museum store Gallery & Co at the National Gallery Singapore. Yah-Leng was formally trained at the Art Institute of Boston before moving to New York City where her creative career blossomed. Her works have been also recognized and honored by numerous awards, accolades and publications such as D&AD, ADC, TDC, Tokyo TDC etc. Yah-Leng is the current President of The Design Society Singapore and she had sat on the advisory board of the Temasek School of Design. Yah-Leng has been on The Tatler 300 List by Singapore Tatler 2017 through 2020. In 2021, she was also named Tatler’s inaugural Asia’s Most Influential. On the lighter note, she was also named Asia’s Most Stylish in 2020 by Tatler magazine.
Min Byunggeol is a graphic designer. He is interested in utilizing the relationship between the part and the whole as a methodological approach to expression, and undertakes diverse forms of design work that traverse the boundaries between image and materiality.
Kim Nayoung has studied visual design at Hongik University since 2025. The same year, joined Hangulggol, a typography study group, and has pursued a range of work centered on letterforms. Interested in translating both the immediate and intimate—everyday life—and the vast and distant—deep space—into design.
Minjoo Kim is currently studying Visual Communication Design at Hongik University, with a focus on typography and visual culture. As a member of Hangulggol, a typography club at Hongik University, she continues to develop various works centered on letters and printed media. She explores how letters can move beyond simply being read, creating new atmospheres and sensations through their form, texture, and arrangement.
Hyeyeon Kim is a graphic designer who works with letters and writing systems. She explores the relationship between design, text, signs and symbols, and literacy in order to present information as information. In particular, she seeks to understand East Asian scripts and images, and explores design environments in which they can function comfortably.
Jihye Son is a Seoul-based graphic designer working primarily through typography. Her practice explores the boundaries between disciplines such as fine arts and design, literature and typography, with a particular interest in structurally connecting their relationships.
Léa Bruneau is a type designer and calligrapher based in Paris, France. She studied graphic and type design at école Estienne before joining the Master Type and Media at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK). She currently works as a type designer at Production Type while also pursuing freelance projects. Her work combines classic elegance with contemporary sensibilities, creating typefaces and logotypes that can adapt to a wide range of contexts.
Philipp was born and raised in the flat heart of Northern Germany. He studied at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel, and continued at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK), completing the Type and Media program. After a period of movement between Berlin and Copenhagen, working with several foundries, he returned to Berlin to establish his own practice devoted to type design and typography. Since 2023, he has been teaching type design at his alma mater in Kiel.

Seoul-based font designer and bartender. She has been working at Sandoll since 2013, accumulating 10 years of experience. Her representative fonts include Sandoll Nemony and Sandoll Hoyoyo, among others. In 2024, she founded the eighttype foundry and released Bonebone.
Sujin Kim worked as a type designer at Sandoll and Design210. She designed and developed a wide range of typefaces, including [KT Olleh Neo], [Mirae Well Life Jalpulrineun Oneul · Jalpulrineun Haru], [Sandoll Gaehwa], [Sandoll Danpatppang], and [Sandoll Indian Girl]. She currently runs Sentitype, a type design studio. Sentitype approaches letterforms with an intuitive sensitivity and close attention to subtle details, exploring the structure and form of Hangul to create distinctive and experimental typefaces.
Kenya Hara (b.1958) is a graphic designer, president of the Nippon Design Center Inc., and professor at Musashino Art University. His highly-influential exhibition “RE-DESIGN: Daily Products of the 21st Century” toured worldwide, and he has built a reputation for producing exhibitions and educational programs that bring focus to new values by embracing keywords, such as HAPTIC, SENSEWARE, and Ex-formation. Much of his work, including the programs
for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Nagano Winter Olympic Games and promotion of Expo 2005, is deeply rooted in Japanese culture. In 2002, Hara became MUJI’s art director. His wide-ranging work is noted for
its attention to transparency, and includes visual identity for Matsuya Ginza, Mori Building, Tsutaya Shoten, GINZA SIX, and MIKIMOTO. He was Chief Creative Director of the Japan House project for Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Tien-Min Liao is a type designer and founder of Typeji Foundry, an independent type foundry based in New York. She designs and publishes Latin typefaces for retail use, and collaborates with foundries and agencies on
typographic projects. Tien-Min studied type design at The Cooper Union in New York and has released multiple type families since 2020. She has served on the jury for major design awards, including the TDC 71 Typeface Design
Competition, TDC Ascenders, and the Art Directors Club Annual Awards.
