Focusing on typography, he explores vibrant visual communication. He has participated in numerous lectures, judging sessions, and special exhibitions both in Japan and abroad. He is the president of Kokokumaru Co., Ltd. He is the head professor of the Department of Design at Osaka University of Arts, a visiting professor at Ningbo University in China, and the chairman of the Japan Typography Association (JTA). He also serves as a jury member for Asia Design Prize.
