NU Slorence is a brand font created through a collaboration between the ceramic studio Slorence and the type design studio Nutype. Slorence is a ceramic studio based in Seoul, dedicated to crafting pieces that cherish the joy found in life’s everyday moments. Their handmade ceramics serve as both decorative craft and artistic expression, enhancing any space with their striking presence. NU Slorence is a font family consisting of three styles. Inspired by the oval forms of ceramics, the Regular features a condensed width and emphasized asymmetry. The Display style reflects the twisting contours of Slorence’s signature piece, the Ring Vase, introducing reversed forms based on the Regular. The Swash style applies the varying stroke contrast of the Ring Vase’s twist to a D'Nealian Cursive structure. Slorence Website: slorence.com

Doubling as a decorative craft and art form, handmade ceramics by South Korean studio Slorence add a striking touch that complements any space. Designed by artist Zeeun Kim, the label produces vases that display the vibrant beauty of flowers, fresh or dried, from every angle. Every stage of creation is done by hand, from kneading and molding the clay to glazing and adding finishing touches.

Unplanned variations in color and texture add charm and make each item one of a kind. Thin lines and dramatic curves create irregular, sculptural forms, while subdued hues of brown and ivory reflect the brand’s delicate aesthetic.
