AG Hunminjeongeum
AG 훈민정음체
AG Hunminjeongeum is a modern Hangeul typeface rooted in the original forms of the Hunminjeongeum (1446) from King Sejong's era and the structural lineage of the Seokbosangjeol (1449). Retaining the aesthetic of early Hunminjeongeum types, it incorporates the 'Araea' (ㆍ) into its stroke stems and is engineered to flawlessly render Old Hangeul. The original vertical typesetting standards have been refined for modern horizontal typesetting, with clear formal distinctions established between historical characters such as 'Yedieung' (ㆁ) and 'Yeorinhieut' (ㆆ). The character set comprises the standard 11,172 KS Hangeul characters, supplemented by 500 precomposed Old Hangeul characters, 1,816 combining Old Hangeul jamo, and 24 Hangeul-specific punctuation marks based on the Korea Font Association standards. The Latin characters and select symbols were newly designed, drawing inspiration from the Avant Garde typeface.
