2집 «오브제 타입 Objet Type» 누타입의 두 번째 프로젝트로, 디지털 환경을 넘어 촉각적으로 경험할 수 있는 매체인 ‘도자 공예’와의 접목을 통해 폰트를 단순히 시각적인 요소가 아닌 물리적으로 감각하고 경험할 수 있는 형태로 확장했습니다. 동시에 ‘도자 공예’는 ‘폰트’와 접목하여 그 물질성을 넘어 디지털 환경에서도 새로운 방식으로 해석되고 경험하게 합니다. 이를 통해, 각 분야에서 시도하지 않았던 경험적 교류를 탐색하는 것이 이번 프로젝트의 핵심입니다. ‘도자 공예’의 특성 3가지를 기반으로 폰트 3종을 제작했습니다. NU Plumb은 도자 공예가 가진 수많은 특징 중에서도 ‘서 있을 수 있음’에 착안하여, 각 글자가 스스로 균형을 이루며 견고하게 설 수 있도록 디자인했습니다. 하단의 비례를 넉넉히 두어 무게중심을 안정감 있게 하였으며, T나 V처럼 세로획이나 사선 획이 지면(Baseline)에 닿는 글자들은 가로획이나 사선 획을 활용해 단단히 서 있을수 있도록 제작하였습니다.

Letters like “T” and “V,” which often struggle to stay upright, are reinforced with clever design choices that keep them steady.
